Fabulous hand embroidered super-soft, fine wool, or wool and silk shawl. Artisan made in Kashmir; the embroidery is stunning and makes this shawl a truly exquisite accessory.
Each shawl will differ slightly due to the hand embroidery. The embroidery is a traditional chain stitch done in Kashmir called ‘Aari’. It is done with a cobbler's hook-like needle and the most unique part is that it is done without a frame. The fabric is gently stretched over the embroiderer's knee and that provides the tension in the fabric to embroider it.
The shawl fabric is partially hand loomed, and totally hand embroidered.The perfect gift for anyone!

We recommend you dry clean this gorgeous shawl, or between cleaning "blow fresh" on the line on a dry day.
Store in sealed bag when not in use.
