A Furoshiki is a Japanese cloth, which was traditionally used to wrap personal effects - boxes, food and other objects. Gradually, their use broadened into an all purpose cloth for beautiful presentation, not to mention easy carrying. They can be washed and reused. Furoshiki has been used since the Edo period (17thcentury) and has recently gained popularity as an eco–friendly alternative to plastic bags and the wasteful use of wrapping paper.
